Catholics rally for religious freedom in health care, monsignor has final hearing for priest abuse trial starts

Happy Friday, feeders! Enjoy the warm weather before the weekend chill and rain set in.

Lizz Fiedler is in court where Monsignor William Lynn has his final hearing before the trial of Philadelphia priests and a teacher accused of child sex abuse begins. One of the priests pleaded guilty yesterday.
Taunya English will talk to area Catholics today who are joining the rally for religious freedom. They’re protesting a health care mandate requiring most private health care plans to cover contraceptive methods.

Dave Davies is in City Council mode, so check in later for his story about Philadelphia’s budget.

Emma Jacobs has two stories in the works. She’ll get the details on a green jobs report and how Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware fare. She’ll also have the story on a local march and vigil for a teenager killed in Florida.
