Car fire on GSP in Little Egg Harbor late this morning
Firefighters extinguished a car fire late this morning on the Garden State Parkway in southern Ocean County.
The fire was reported in the northbound lanes just to the south of Exit 58 in Little Egg Harbor around 11:15 a.m., according to emergency radio transmissions.
JSHN contributor John McFadden was near the scene and photographed the fully engulfed vehicle and the subsequent fire department response.
Firefighters arrived on the scene to extinguish the fire shortly before 11:30 a.m., McFadden said.
There are no reported injuries.
Traffic near the scene is heavy as of 11:30 a.m., according to Google Maps.
