Risking another threat from Philadelphia City Commission Chair Marge Tartaglione, Philly Weekly reporter Aaron Kase wants to know why City Commissioner Joseph Duda used 1,350 gallons of gas in his city-owned car for fiscal year 2010. Kase reports Duda’s $2,800 worth of gas accounts for one-third of the office’s total gallons used.

Kase acknowledges the Parkwood resident’s long commute to work, his math shows the excessive consumption doesn’t add up, given the City Commissioner position doesn’t involve much driving.

The City Commissioner’s Office hasn’t commented yet.
