Cape Henlopen pier to be dismantled

Work is underway to remove the outermost section of the Cape Henlopen Fishing Pier in Lewes.
The state ordered demolition of the pier as a safety measure after portions of the structure began to collapse and fall into the water.  The debris then posed a threat to navigation and the environment.  The outer section of the pier was closed to the public in 2006.
