Bucks County woman booted from Facebook for breastfeeding photo

There’s a lot of junk on Facebook. One thing you might be hard-pressed to find is a breastfeeding photo, if for some reason, you’re looking for that sort of thing.

Facebook hopes you’re not looking for it, because the social networking site doesn’t intend to let you find such content. A Bucks County woman learned that the hard way when she lost her account for posting a photo of her nursing her son.

The Inquirer’s Monica Yant Kinney tackled this one. She talked with the woman — who has since had her account restored under the condition she “agree” not to post another breastfeeding photo — who can be seen nursing her son at Camden’s aquarium as a hippo looks on.

The Inky has the full story, including comments from a nursing activist who’s been kicked off Facebook multiple times for posting photos.
