Brick resident purchases Sandy-stricken home for $1

When a Brick resident who lost his house to Superstorm Sandy realized that rebuilding would be financially insurmountable, he hatched a plan, 6ABC reports

Chris Segarra, a resident of the Shore Acres section of the Township who helped rescue neighbors during the storm, approached a homeowner on his block and offer to purchase the storm-stricken house that was slated for demolition.

    The offer? $1 dollar.

“When Chris called me up, at first I thought he was nuts,” the seller told the television station.
