Brady to present check to youth sports team to cover cost of stolen equipment

About a month ago, the Overbrook Monarchs Youth Athletic Association had more than $20,000 in equipment stolen from the football team’s storage trailer.

Rep. Bob Brady announced that same day they he’d help the team pay for the equipment, and tonight he’s following through. Brady will present a check for $25,800 from himself and the Lincoln Financial Group.

Just maybe, the scorching heat will let up a bit in time for the 7:30 presentation at Granahan playground.
