Woman’s body found in Schuylkill River

Suburban Philadelphia officials are seeking help from the public in identifying the body of a woman found in the Schuylkill River, the AP reports.

Police in Montgomery County say the body was pulled from the water at about 11:20 a.m. yesterday at the Whitemarsh Boat Club in Whitemarsh Township.

Township police Lt. Christopher Ward says rowers in the river spotted the body floating in the river.

Assistant District Attorney Kevin Steele described her as a white woman 55 to 75 years old, about 5 feet tall, with whitish gray hair, wearing a black top and black shorts.
