Body discovered in Long Beach Island surf, reports say

    A man’s body was found in the Long Beach Island surf Tuesday morning, according to published reports.

    APP.com reports that the body was found shortly before 7:00 a.m. between 78th and 79th streets in Beach Haven. 

    Al Della Fave, spokesman for the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, tells NJ.com that there were no signs of trauma or foul play, with the preliminary investigation indicating a suicide. 

    The reports identify the man as John T. Creevy, 59, of Barnegat.
