What Americans wouldn’t tolerate in the MLB or NFL, they’ll probably let slide for new-comer pro soccer team the Philadelphia Union. The team yesterday agreed to a four-year deal to display the name of a Mexican baking company on jerseys.
Bimbo (pronounced Beembo) has its American headquarters in Horsham, and will now be seen on the jerseys of Union players in Chester. WHYY’s Peter Crimmins has the full report.
