Ben Franklin Bridge lights celebrate many causes throughout April

The Ben Franklin Bridge will shine blue, green, red, orange and purple at different times during April in honor of several causes and celebrations.

The month kicks off with blue lights Friday to support Autism awareness, followed by red lights on the 15th and 16th for Temple University’s alumni celebration.

April 17 brings orange for the ASPCA’s Animal Cruelty Prevention Month.

Green on the 22nd is in honor of Earth Day, and it’s followed by a three-day stretch of purple. From April 23 through 25, the lights will glow purple for the March of Dimes’ March for Babies event, and for Easter, which is the 24th.
