    Those huge piles of rock salt you see on the sidewalk after a snow storm are more than just annoying white lumps. They’re damaging fresh waterways.

    Health & Science reporter Meggan Kole spoke to the Philadelphia Water Department and Delaware Riverkeeping Network to determine just how much damage the salty substance can do to the river.
