Around campus

Area college students are trickling back in from winter break. Though coverage is still sports- and editorial-heavy, there’s plenty of news in the land of universities. Here’s a quick breakdown of what’s going on.
Despite a WASP-history, Princeton has proven itself religiously diverse to Jewish Princetonian columnist Aaron Applbaum. A freshman, Applbaum lauds his university for making it easy and comfortable for him and other Jewish students to practice their faith.

Drexel has released a mobile app. The university quietly dropped the DrexelOne app just before Christmas. Though it’s a bit rough-looking, the app gives Drexel students, faculty and staff access to their university accounts, grade and dining balances, but general information like menus and bus schedules.

Chris Christie, a 1984 alumnus, spoke at University of Delaware’s winter commencement and encouraged graduates to create a life outside of college. The New Jersey governor advised the students to pay attention to the distractions in life.
