April’s Run to benefit Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia

A 5K walk and run that honors a girl who died of Type B flu in 2007 will help the families of other sick children.

According to a story from Today’s Sunbeam, proceeds from the fourth annual April’s Run in Woodstown will to toward the Marlton Park Recreation Center and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Debbie Pettit, April’s mother, told Today’s Sunbeam the proceeds would help families of children staying in the hospital long term.

Fundraising, according to the story, will continue after the race and throughout the day at the race festival, which includes activities, refreshments and entertainment.
