10 Months: The Wilmington Voices Project

10 Months asks, “How does our city define itself? What can happen to a community in ten months’ time?” Through interviews, video and live actors, DTC will explore ten months in the life of Wilmington, both in the past and present. Audiences will follow stories of their neighbors, community leaders, and sometimes those of forgotten voices, through ten-month time periods in Wilmington’s early history, the occupation by the National Guard in 1968, and in present-day Wilmington. Delaware Theatre Company, March 17 – April 4, 2010.

    String Serenade

Our chamber season ends with Tchaikovsky’s lush classic for strings, and a tribute to him by another fine Russian composer. We open this program with Grieg’s happy take on Baroque music, the Holberg Suite. Hotel duPont Gold Ballroom, April 6th 8 p.m.

    Trula Blize

The lush photographic work of artist Trula Blize becomes human emotional equivalents, each image a celebratory expression of a thought, a whisper, a song, a word spoken. This show, titled Intimate Celebrations, draws the viewer into a rich, full experience which transcends the visual. Delaware Center for Horticulture, Opening April 9th 5:30 to 8:00 P.M.
