Stock up on books, CDs and DVDs at the Falls Library spring sale

This Saturday, the Friends of the Falls of Schuylkill Library will host their annual “Spring Sale.” The event is one of the library’s main fundraisers and all proceeds will be used to purchase new materials for the library.

“If you are a booklover searching for hardbacks, paperbacks, children’s books, DVDs, CDs, and books on tape in good condition and at a price you can afford, be sure to come,” said John Gillespie, member of the Friends group.

Gillespie says the sale comes just in time for Mother’s Day gift shopping.

There will also be a variety of plants and baked goods for sale. Annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs, hanging baskets, cakes, brownies, cookies, muffins and other desserts will be available.
