Ads for ed

NJ Gov. Chris Christie has signed into law a bill that will allow school districts to sell ads on the sides of buses they own or lease.

The Star-Ledger reports half the revenue will cover transportation costs in the districts, while the Board of Education will spend the other half on services.

The board will have to approve all ads, and those promoting alcohol, tobacco or political alignments are prohibited.
