AAA says gas prices retreating

Gas prices may be finally starting to fall after soaring towards the end of the summer.

AAA Mid-Atlantic reports Delaware’s average price for a gallon of gas is $3.76, the same as this time last week and 16 cents higher than this time last year.  The current national average is $3.83, nearly 20 cents higher than a year ago.  AAA expects the price at the pump to decline over the last few months of the year, barring any significant disruption in oil production due to hurricane activity.  The price may decline to about $3.25 per gallon nationally by December.
