A pig goes to city hall: Whitehall Township pig gets to stay home

They took the fight to city hall, so to speak, and they won. A pot-bellied pig deemed unfit as a neighborhood pet will get to stay home in Whitehall Township afterall.

Fox 29 reports “Porkus Maximus” will be allowed to stay after the zoning board of Whitehall Township voted he could remain home.

Owner Holly Hacker fought to keep her pig and even gathered signatures for a petition after being cited for violating zoning rules.

After debating the issue last night, the zoning board granted Hacker a variance.
