    Another day, another School District of Philadelphia story. Today’s update comes from Tom MacDonald. Tom was at today’s special meeting of the School Reform Commission, where Superintendent Arlene Ackerman said she’s got no intentions of leaving.

    The Port of Philadelphia is on alert after customs agents spotted a rare wood-eating beetle that came in from China. Carolyn has the details on why this beetle presents a threat and what can be done to prevent the population from spreading.
