    With the calorie-counting trend up, so are visits to chain restaurants. What seems like a contradiction makes perfect sense.

    This is the first New Year since Philadelphia chain restaurants began offering calorie counts on their menus. Though not known to serve the healthiest foods, many fast food chains can benefit from the counts because customers know exactly what they’re eating.

    Health & Science reporter Carolyn Beeler talked to some customers about they’re using the counts to help them stick to their New Year’s resolutions.
