Mayor Nutter has tough words for second shooting at Phila. playground

Mayor Michael Nutter has some choice words after a second playground shooting in Philadelphia this week.

After two playground shootings since Monday, this time at 48th and Brown Streets in West Philadelphia, Mayor Nutter didn’t mince words.

“It really takes a complete —hole to do these kinds of things at a city facility, they are sacred places,” said Nutter.

The mayor says police will find and arrest the assailant.

“I don’t know what goes through the mind of someone who would engage in that kind of activity it won’t be tolerated, we will find this idiot and lock him up as well,” Nutter added.

Philadelphia has already put out an offer of a $20,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the shooter from a Monday night incident at another city playground. There were 500 people there, but police say few are cooperating.
