Candidates talk about last-minute efforts before Tuesday Pennsylvania Primary

As the clock ticks down to casting the first vote in Pennsylvania’s primary elections tomorrow, WHYY sampled some Philadelphia candidates about what they will do to lock in a victory.

First District Council Candidate Joe Grace says he asks for votes door to door.  “We believe this election in the first district is going to be decided by several hundred votes, so every voter we speak to matters,” said Grace.

Councilman Frank Rizzo said he’s never stops talking to constituents.  “My schedule is as busy in the days after the election as it is the day before,” said Rizzo.

And councilman Bill Green cited an adage from former Senator Arlen Specter.

“There’s only two ways to win, run unopposed and I’m not unopposed or run scared, so like everyone else I’m running scared so I’m asking people to please come out and vote for me,” said Specter.
