Black clergy endorse Nutter’s re-election

Mayor Michael Nutter has received a major endorsement in his run for re-election.

The Black Clergy of Philadelphia is supporting Mayor Nutter’s re-election. Bishop Audrey Bronson says the mayor won the group over.

“For our critics who claim that our endorsement is hasty, let us remind that in the past we have disagreed with the mayor on a number of issues we were vocal in our disagreement and passionate in our convictions, in the same way we must be passionate and convicted in a way about our vocal agreement with him.” said Bronson.

Mayor Nutter admits he has made some mistakes, including a decision to close libraries to save money.
