Gov. Corbett attends first DRPA meeting as board member

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett made his debut today as head of the Delaware River Port Authority Board.Governor Corbett didn’t announce any big changes or loudly demand reform on his first day.  “I think it’s incumbent upon me with the background that I have: as a US Attorney and Attorney General, to come in and sit down and take a look,” said Corbett.  “Now today I started, so don’t ask me what I found, cause we haven’t found anything one way or the other and I will tell you I’m not going to take any questions on personnel issues right now either.”  Corbett said his counterpart in New Jersey, Governor Chris Christie, also has a very good reputation from his days as a prosecutor.  He said the two will work together to give the people of the region confidence that the DRPA is doing what it’s supposed to be doing.
