Wilmington council backs plan to cap I-95 and create a park

Last week, Wilmington released an inventory of lead pipes across the city. But the city has yet to determine the content of about 25% of its service lines.

Work on the I-95 cap project will reduce Columbus Boulevard to one lane in spots, which could cause major traffic delays.

The findings shed new light on the June 11, 2023, early morning crash that destroyed the bridge beyond repair.
