New Jersey parents seek a virtual option for school this year despite gov’s ‘unequivocal’ decision

Community colleges are fighting to keep money the Legislature added last year as the institutions try to keep tuition affordable.

Masking will be optional for students and staff except when determined necessary to fight an outbreak.

Test results for the 22-23 school year show that only 40% of students in grades 3-8 scored proficiently in English language arts, a 2 percentage point decline from last year.
