After Chauvin verdict, here’s the status of police reform proposals in Pennsylvania

Delaware County lawmakers are hoping to pass legislation in honor of Fanta Bility, an 8-year-old girl who was shot and killed by Sharon Hill police officers in 2021.

The bill aims to limit the length of probation sentences and the circumstances under which a non-violent offender on probation can be sent to jail.

Gov. Josh Shapiro said Thursday he will not allow Pennsylvania to execute any inmates while he is in office and called for the state's lawmakers to repeal the death penalty.
