‘We’re losing too many talented, bright people’: Philly’s next managing director vows to combat violence

The bill creates a zoning law that would prohibit sites across most of Philadelphia. City Council is expected to override the mayor’s veto.

So far, 23 departments have completed their initial racial equity action plans. All departments will need to complete theirs by the end of the year.

The executive order is similar to a measure passed by Philadelphia City Council in 2019.
