A Philadelphia museum is turning toddlers into art lovers by encouraging their artistic expression

With a $10 million gift from the Maguire Foundation, the Chestnut Hill museum will get to work transforming its neighbor into a modern art space.

The Woodmere Museum recently acquired the midcentury design concepts by John Winters, staff artist with Wanamaker’s Department Store for 25 years.

The Sisters of St. Joseph would prefer that the next owner be the museum, just a stone’s throw away, if it can raise the money to acquire the property.
