Rise in COVID-19 cases halt Delaware reopening conversation

Delaware bars and restaurants can now stay open past 10 p.m., but Gov John Carney’s stay-at-home order and restrictions on large gatherings remain.

The last week saw an average of 819 new cases a day in Delaware — nearly four times higher than the peak in the spring.

Hospitalizations have tripled since mid-August in Delaware and the average number of daily cases has doubled.
