National Guard arrives at City Hall after Walter Wallace Jr. killing by police

The 46-year-old officer who fired his weapon has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of this ongoing investigation.

The statement added that police are still investigating the incidents to identify individuals involved and see if criminal charges can be made.

Gatherings were planned Wednesday in Upper Darby, Lansdowne and Pennsauken as Philadelphia’s streets were relatively quiet.
