Mia Green’s killer convicted of third-degree murder

On Monday, a federal judge in New Jersey issued a temporary ban on the removal of two transgender men from the Air Force. The ruling follows a similar one last week.

The district attorney’s office says the suspect did extensive research about LGBTQ+ parades and planned to join a terrorist group in Syria.

Murders peaked at 562 in 2021 before falling to 514 in 2022. In 2023, the number dropped again, as 410 people were killed on city streets.
