‘Give them a future’: Health officials urge Philly parents to get their kids vaccinated against COVID

As they prepare to dole out newly updated booster shots, local health workers are trying to incorporate lessons learned from three years’ worth of vaccine campaigns.

City health officials announced earlier this year they had given out more than 260,000 booster doses since August. This is how the numbers break down.

Participants were limited to two free kits, each of which contains two tests. The goal is to increase testing amid the current COVID surge.
