Black business expo in Philadelphia connects entrepreneurs via ‘speed networking’

Businesses owned by people of color and women were more likely to report losing revenue, and less likely to get federal aid they applied for.

The number of active Black business owners fell by 68% from early March to July, according to the Census Bureau. Active white business owners fell by 44%.

Black and Mobile is an online delivery service that caters to Black-owned restaurants. The coronavirus shutdown has increased demand for its service.
