Young artists carry on the legacy of The Sound of Philadelphia

Local Black history event honored 600 Black boys and men during its 14th annual Raising Kings conference.

The markers are the first ones recognizing the borough’s Black history since its founding in 1713.

A bas-relief sculpture of the major civil rights lawyer represents the man who shaped modern Constitutional law.
