Painted Bride goes to court to sell its distinctive building

As part of an effort to save more historic buildings from the wrecking ball, the city is investing in the Philadelphia Historical Commission.

The latest plans to redevelop the Old City Painted Bride HQ include the iconic tilework, marking a departure from past plans to tear down the mosaic.

The Philadelphia Historical Commission voted unanimously to add Sigma Studios to the local Register of Historic Places.
