Massive sinkhole opens up in West Philadelphia

The fire broke out Thursday night at a recycling facility at South 34th Street and Grays Ferry Avenue. Residents have been asked to avoid the area or stay inside due to smoke.

Police earlier said the child went missing after being dropped off at Penrose Elementary School and was last seen in the cafeteria.

The sinkhole opened up on the 2700 block of E. Birch Street on Tuesday.
