Workers at Golden Nugget and Resorts vote to authorize a strike

The strike began Friday in Los Angeles, Seattle and Chicago and has since expanded to Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and other cities.

The campaign launched by the Teamsters union comes during the holiday-shopping rush, though Amazon says it has not affected operations.

A Sunday strike deadline remains against the Hard Rock casino, but the new pacts appear to greatly increase the likelihood of a deal getting done with Hard Rock as well.
