A major immigrant detention center just closed in Pa. but plans for new a one could mean more detainees here than ever

Immigration enforcement agents arrested Mahmoud Khalil, a permanent U.S. resident who is married to an American citizen, in New York on Saturday.

A federal judge found that the Trump administration policy could violate their religious freedom and should be blocked while a lawsuit challenging it plays out.

“The truth is, Moshannon is a place where they don’t treat you like an immigrant," said one former detainee, "but as if you were a criminal."
