What do the results of the 2024 election, ‘the red wave’, mean for the Democratic Party? President-elect Donald Trump swept Blue Wall states and gained ground with Latino voters. Some red states swung even further to the right. Democrats were unseated in state races across the country. Where did the party go wrong?

Did the Democrats’ messaging on democracy and abortion fall flat, or was it drowned out by Trump’s intense focus on the economy and immigration? The bottom line is, Democrats lost, and may continue to lose if they don’t make changes.
