Striking Temple grad students rally with state lawmakers as talks resume

Union members had recently voted to authorize a strike Wednesday morning if an agreement had not been reached.

The School District of Philadelphia planned to offer virtual learning to combat staff shortages and low student turnout.

Temple officials say that 50% of its Class of 2028 are students of color, the highest percentage in the college’s history.
