Search underway after handcuffed prisoner escapes police custody in Kensington

Manuel Santiago and Frank Jastrzembski were found guilty of lying during the 2016 retrial of Anthony Wright. Martin Devlin was acquitted of all charges.

The 46-year-old officer who fired his weapon has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of this ongoing investigation.

The man was driven to a psychiatric hospital in a police van but was not handcuffed because he had agreed to go voluntarily.
