The death toll from a Thursday night house explosion in Pottstown, Montgomery County has increased.
A total of five fatalities were reported by officials on Friday afternoon.
In addition, two people were injured. One person is in critical but stable condition. Another was in surgery as of noon.
At this point, officials said, everyone is accounted for.
“Right now we are unable to provide additional information on the victims as the family notification process is ongoing,” said Pottstown Borough Manager Justin Keller during the Friday news conference.
