Philly City Council passes bill to ensure jobs for laid-off hospitality workers

The goal is not only to have a $15 minimum wage, but to wrestle control for future wage increases out of state control and into local hands.

State Sen. Andrew Zwicker’s proposal to boost tourism in Central Jersey would put a clear definition on the often-debated region.

The acclaimed program was slated to expire at the end of the year. It is now poised to operate through the first half of 2024.
