Black-owned Philly bookstore creates civic intervention as Afrofuturist theater

Eight Philly businesses owned by Black women are highlighted on the Sisterhood-Sit-In Trolley Tour.

The weekly two-hour tour includes stops at Harriett’s, Franny Lou’s Porch, Freedom Apothecary, Marsh + Mane, and Yowie.

The report hopes to build on momentum around the intensified scrutiny worldwide about the blight of racism and its impact on Africans and people of African descent.
