Suspect in UnitedHealthcare CEO killing faces new federal murder charges with his return to New York

Luigi Mangione faces 20 total counts in federal court, Pennsylvania state court and New York state court. On Monday, he pleaded not guilty in the latter to 11 counts.

Mangione was charged under a state law that allows for stiffer sentences for terrifying civilians or influencing government. He is currently jailed in Pennsylvania.

Friedman Agnifilo’s law firm confirmed late Friday that she had been retained to represent Mangione.
