Pa. House takes first step toward charter school overhaul

A Pennsylvania regulatory board is supporting Gov. Tom Wolf’s proposal to subject charter schools to stronger ethics and accounting measures.

Public school advocates argue overall, charter schools route too much money from traditional districts.  

The study says the overall quality of Pa. charter schools is brought down by poor performing cybers. But some brick and mortar charters in cities are a bright spot.
