Pa. counties abandon plans to buck Wolf, as GOP lawmakers continue pushing doomed reopening bills

The Republican-controlled Legislature approved the bill unanimously, at Wolf’s urging.

Wolf called on both President Donald Trump and the Republican-controlled state legislature to start “getting serious” about the coronavirus pandemic.

The decision has set up a confrontation between the federal government’s directives, the state legislature’s intent, and the governor’s powers.
