Pa. attorney general targets illegal possession of kit guns

Pennsylvania Gun Rights sent a letter to Delco officials in March calling the ordinance a violation of the Constitution and threatening legal action if adopted.

Sales of the homemade firearms grew exponentially after kits that let people easily build them at home came on the market, Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote in the majority opinion.

In an amicus brief filed last week, the officials asked a federal judge in Texas to reject a challenge to the new restrictions set to take effect in August.
